Safety expert joins ACC to lead emergency response program

Earlier this month the American Chemistry Council was fortunate to have John D. Modine sign on as the new Chief Executive for its CHEMTREC® Division, which serves as a critical source of information for emergency responders regarding incidents involving hazardous materials.

Modine comes to CHEMTREC® with over 20 years of experience with the American Petroleum Institute (API), where he acted most recently as Advisor to the President and CEO and previously as Vice President of Global Industry Services, in which capacity he was responsible for API’s certification, safety, training, events and publications programs.
