Fossil fuel production emits significantly more methane than previously thought –

A new government study says methane emissions from natural gas, oil, and coal production are actually between 20 and 60 percent higher than the estimates typically cited. ​Methane is a significantly more potent greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide. InsideClimate News
